Gite Plan and Dimensions

Gite Dimensions and Layout

Our Gite is in a converted barn that dates back to Napoleonic times. The main living, dining and kitchen area is an open plan space of approximately 6.2 by 6.5 metres plan area, the ceiling is a vaulted timber construction with a minimum height of 2.95 metres.

Recent guests have remarked that the Gite is bigger than they were expecting – the Elevated Deck provides ample space to relax and dine al fresco.

The main bedroom is a maximum size of 2.7 metres wide by 5.4 metres long. The second bedroom is a maximum size of 2.9 metres wide by 3.5 metres long. The Shower-room and toilet is 2.4 metres deep by 1.9 metres wide.

The elevated deck, accessed through the French Windows on the end flank of the gite is 6.75 metres wide by 4.1 metres deep.

The floor plan below gives an indication of the layout of the Gite – note it is indicative rather than a precise scaled drawing. The Decking is on the south facing flank of the Gite meaning you can enjoy the fabulous sunsets in comfort – the “sunshine” compass icon shows an extended arrow pointing towards due North. It is also worth noting that the original building is not uniform in plan given its age and construction.
